We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. The position is for a full-time front and back office medical assistant for our specialty OB/GYN practice. Applicants must be highly motivated, professional and eager to learn. Also, if you are a recent graduate in a science field looking for experience before applying to medical, physician assistant, nursing school, etc. this is a great opportunity to get some clinical experience. We have two offices, located in Honolulu and Ewa Beach. Travel between offices required as needed for staff coverage.

Responsibilities:
- Demographic entry and scheduling of appointments
- Maintaining electronic medical records
- Answering phones and relaying clinical information to our providers
- Speaking with referring offices for relevant paperwork, labs, or past exams
- Taking and charting vital signs
- Phlebotomy
- Completing lab requisitions
- Assisting physicians, nurses, ultrasonographers, and genetic counselors with procedures and patient care
- Turning over exam rooms and keeping clinic clean
- Travel to outer island clinics to assist Physician and Genetic counselor
- Travel between office locations, Honolulu and Ewa, as needed
Qualifications:
- MA AA Degree or equivalent
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, but on the job training and certification is offered
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Work hours and schedule:
- Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 5:00PM, shifts are 7:30AM-4:00PM, 8:00AM-4:30PM or 8:30AM-5:00PM.
- Saturday 7:30AM - 1:00PM - on a rotational basis, will give 1/2 half during week if working Saturday clinic
- Full time, 40hrs/wk
- Outer island clinic travel as needed, after training completed. 1 to 2 clinics/month, travel and parking for outer island clinics paid for by office
- Travel between offices, Honolulu and Ewa Beach, as needed
- This position is primarily for our Ewa Beach office.
