SWA is hirng for an open Industrial Machine Maintenance Technician in Franklin, OH!
- Pay: Up to $30hr (based on experience and skills)
- Shift: M-Thur // 6a - 4:30 pm (Overtime possible daily and on Fridays)
Consideration Requirements:
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening!
- High school diploma/GED and Completion of a craft apprenticeship preferred
- An equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience will be considered
- An AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and industrial skills with some PLC experience.
- Experience repairing/maintaining CNC machines, laser machines, press brakes, welding machines, and similar industrial manufacturing machines is required
Duty Requirements:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Understand and utilize lockout/tag-out equipment.
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Coordination and scheduling of waste shipment management, external inspections (Fire, FM Global, Wastewater), and on-site EHS inspections
- Actively participate and lead the safety team.
- Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned by the Plant Manager or any other member of the leadership team
- All of these objectives must be carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining an acceptable level of quality and efficiency
Physical Requirements:
- Onsite vision test may be required (near and far distance) upon hiring
- Able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
- Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, climb etc
- Able to work at heights.
- Able to work safely with hazardous chemicals and wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
