rVr is a craft oriented, Japanese Izakaya, utilizing the gifts of California’s small farmers. Opening soon in Venice, we are looking for food-passionate Servers and Bartenders interested in contributing to an ongoing food and beverage conversation that is aimed at elevating personal knowledge and advancing informed quality service.
New ingredients and seasonal dishes daily, alongside a focused A-typical wine and sake program, so a passion for learning is essential. Responsibilities:
● The Server is responsible for ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests by
providing knowledgeable, efficient, and professional service.
● Greeting guests and providing them with menus and beverage lists.
● Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, using knowledge of menu
items and wine list to make recommendations.
● Delivering food and beverage orders to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
● Checking back with guests to ensure satisfaction with their meals and addressing any
concerns or complaints.
● Processing payment transactions accurately and efficiently.
● Assisting with setting up and breaking down dining room tables and maintaining a clean
and organized dining room.
● Collaborating with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure a smooth flow of service.
● Maintaining knowledge of restaurant policies and procedures, as well as industry
standards for hospitality.
● Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and
licensing requirements.
Requirements:
● 1-2 years of experience as a Server in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
● Extensive knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine service and pairing.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
● Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
● Must have a current California Food Handler Card and Alcoholic Beverage Control
(ABC) license.
