We are seeking a motivated mechanical engineer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of mechanical systems for residential (apartments), retail, and mixed-use construction. The successful candidate will be a licensed Mechanical Engineer or can obtain a license within the next two years.
You will be integrated with a mechanical and plumbing design team with a 30-year track record of outstanding service to the industry and hundreds of completed projects. You will work on exciting large-scale projects starting on day one. We are looking for a leader that will engineer mechanical systems, attend meetings with consultant teams, manage projects, interact with clients, and train staff designers.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to grow our mechanical department and lead it into the future. Skills needed for the position include:
- Familiarity with California codes (CBC, CMC)
- HVAC Load Calculations
- Sizing mechanical equipment and routing ducts
- Coordinating with architects and our structural engineering department
This position requires excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to use a PC with Outlook, Excel, Word, Blue Beam, Wrightsoft by MiTek, and AutoCAD. Successful candidate will also have strong organizational, coordination, planning, people, and scheduling skills.
