Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience with dental systems, medical coding, and HIPAA regulations. Knowledge of medical imaging, infection control, anatomy, and CAD is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Set up and breakdown operatory post-treatment
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Manage infection control - prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dental office or relevant education/training
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software
- Familiarity with medical coding practices
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Understanding of medical imaging techniques
- Ability to perform infection control procedures effectively
- Basic anatomy knowledge
- CAD experience beneficial
