Job Title: Heating Sales Associate (Hydronic Heating)
Location: Denver, CO
Pay Range: $22.50 - $44.98
FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT (eligible for overtime)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
This position will remain open until 7/1/2024, or until the position is filled, whichever is later.
Position Summary: Responsible for acquiring sales orders from new and existing customers while providing the highest level of comprehensive customer service and maintaining strong profit margins.

Responsibilities & Duties:
Primary:
- Answer incoming sales inquiries and engage in technical discussions with potential customers
- Create timely written quotes. Following up on existing quotes and project leads
- Analyze customer needs, assessing product availability, researching special orders, and creating price quotes/bid documents
- Advise customers on project, equipment, or application requirements
- Identify value added solutions and close additional purchase of products
- Interpret the project schedule to identify required equipment delivery dates and expedite selection, pricing, submittals, approval and procurement
- Assure potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with senior management
- Enlist key material/equipment vendors to provide technical and costing support
- Purchase, secure, and expedite delivery of equipment and materials in a timely manner
- Read and design pump curves
- Research and resolve service/product/technical issues
- Communicate and coordinate with others (co-workers, distribution team, etc.)
- Timely review and analysis of various operational reports such as: Open Order Reports, Open PO Reports, and Open WT Reports
- Delegate and follow up appropriately to staff resources
- Ensure all documents are prepared, processed, and maintained correctly and in accordance with project timeline
- Ensure O&M manuals and submittals are accurate and completed by their deadline
- Ensure warranty requirements and responsibilities are understood with the customer
- Identify and resolve customer feedback or concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Attend educational workshops and meetings; review professional publications; and establish personal networks
- Keep current on changes and trends in methods of construction, equipment, materials, and construction costs
- Work with manager to determine developmental needs that relate to Rampart and its goals and objectives
- Promptly and professionally process sales orders, provide product knowledge and advice, and coordinate requested delivery or pickup times while presenting a professional image
- Prepare heat loss analysis to demonstrate how Rampart’s heating products could benefit the customer and result in cost savings
- Administer the highest level of comprehensive customer service by facilitating the quickest delivery possible, maintaining rapport, and promptly troubleshooting issues
- Aid in keeping a project on schedule by planning and coordinating the procurement and delivery of products to the customer
- Collaborate with Purchasing for unique product, ordering, or job requirements
- Answer customer phone calls, qualify leads, and follow up on opportunities
- Operate ethically in accordance with Rampart’s established systems, policies and procedures
As Required:
- Courteously handle customer returns
- Ensure warranty requirements and responsibilities are understood by the customer
- Attend educational workshops and meetings; review professional publications; and establish personal networks
- Maintain current product and technical knowledge as well as current construction trends
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Education, Skills, Training, & Experience Requirements:
- Product knowledge
- Customer service skills
- Sales experience preferred
- 3 + Years of experience in plumbing, hydronic heating, or a related field
- Comprehensive product & industry knowledge
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency in math
- Experience with heat loss calculations
- At least 6 months of order entry experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Continuously (67-100% of the day) will be required to sit, talk, repetitively use hands, arms, and legs, and use eye/hand coordination
- Frequently (34-66% of the day) will be required to sit, stand, walk, and lift or carry 10lbs or less
- Occasionally (1-33% of the day) will be required to bend over, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, push or pull, grasp, use fine manipulation and lift or carry 10-100+ lbs
