Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team at Columbus Flooring City. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for efficiently managing warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing flooring products, as well as maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments of flooring products, ensuring accuracy and quality.
Safely unload and load products from delivery trucks and other vehicles.
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup.
Organize and store inventory in an orderly and accessible manner.
Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with inventory management tasks.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
Assist with the loading and unloading of products for installation teams and customers.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily, weekly, and monthly productivity goals.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and order processing.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Forklift certification is a plus.
