Wieland is hiring a Production Team Lead. The Production Team Lead will be responsible for supporting initiatives in line with the function, productivity, and efficiency of our facility in Atlanta, Georgia. They will achieve profitability through daily tasks and directives around hourly manufacturing, coordinating daily shipping/receiving, and meeting quality requirements. This role is located in Atlanta, GA and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $22-$27/hour depending on experience level

Production Team Lead Responsibilities:
Safety, Health & Environment; Champion the Safety First Culture; Maintain a level of awareness/ownership that coincides with engaging in safety improvement initiatives as identified and work towards the VPP safety system and certification process.
- Reliability: Responsible for exceeding customer’s expectation of quality and service through systems and processes in place. Observe, maintain, and assist the production of hourly personnel in an effort to achieve reliable delivery results.
- Ownership: Own the results of ones actions. Make sure material is good enough for your needs, facility’s needs, and the customer’s needs. Assist personnel in performing quality, quantity, and safety checks throughout the day to achieve improved results with accountability for the material coming in and out of our facility. Coordinate with proper individuals to ensure accountability for all materials (cycle counts, inbound/outbound verification of material, etc.)
- Ambition: Strive to deliver necessary results being better today than yesterday. Increase productivity through learned activities/processes and be better at those roles. Supporting a culture through the deployment of effective quality systems in place to attain highest satisfaction available to manufacturing. Be willing to duplicate oneself through proper training and development of team on plant/manufacturing floor.

- Respect: Maintain a level of respect for the area in which one is working in. That level of respect includes your coworkers, oneself, equipment and environment. Maintain certain levels of security of documentation.

Work as a liaison between sales and operational teams communicating processing and fulfillment of sales orders/releases. This will include communicating fulfillment, supply, and production workflow challenges or capabilities. Will also monitor and work with operations and supply chain personnel to resolve any and all delinquent order releases.
- Support the initiatives communicated by the operational leadership team, aligning with the operational roadmap.
Production Team Lead Qualifications:
High School Diploma- 2+ years’ experience in metals industry/2+ years’ experience slitter operator experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of plant capacity/machinery and ability to effectively analyze and problem solve as issues arise within area of responsibility
- Physical Demands, frequent standing/walking, use of hands to prepare and provide documentation and reports, use of computers and production equipment as needed, occasional lifting of objects/items weighing in excess of 50 lbs, ability to see and hear coworkers or customers.
