Coordinator, HGAC Adult Education & Literacy Grants - South Campus
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Work with the Adult Education and Literacy Team to extend literacy education training to community members throughout the San Jacinto College District.
Essential Job Functions:

Work with the Adult Education and Literacy Team to extend literacy education training to community members throughout the San Jacinto College District.

Accurate data entry in multiple databases.

Monitor data collection and prepare various reports for regulatory concerns and internal communications.

Maintain course schedules, student calendars, instructor assignments.

Maintain auditable documentation, both electronic and hard copy, of lesson plans and course participation.

Collect, audit, code, and submit timesheets for all instructors and project personnel.

Acquire certification in test assessment in Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking for regular evaluation of student progress in the 4 types of literacy.

Maintain accuracy in testing assessment sufficient to meet state requirements.

Maintain accurate log of instructor hours and student attendance for all classroom instruction.

Assist in development of forms and supplemental activities related to Distance Learning for the project.

General filing and customer service in person and on the phone.

Coordinate document processing flow and provide English/Spanish translation services for student intake and testing events.

Participate in recruitment and outreach activities for multiple off-campus program sites.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Strong computer skills in MS Office and experience with data collection and management

Required Education:
-
Associates degree or higher or a minimum of six (6) years of related experience
Preferred Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree on related area
Required Experience:
-
At least three years’ experience in grant funded training/education programs
Preferred Experience:
-
Five (5) years of experience in grant funded training/education programs
-
Computer experience in Banner student management software and/or the state TEAMS database
-
Bilingual/Spanish reading, writing, and translation
This position is grant-funded and the duration of employment is expressly conditioned upon availability of said funding.
Note: The duties of this position require a physical presence at the assigned on-site work location during unrestricted operations with very limited or no opportunity for remote work arrangements.
Salary Grade: 107
