Goodin Company is a wholesale distributor of pipe, valves, fittings, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, water well and waterworks supplies. We stock over 25,000 different items manufactured by over 500 different manufacturers and operate from fifteen different locations located throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Nebraska. Warehouse Associates are the backbone of Goodin Company as they handle the actual products, ensuring that the order that the customer has placed is filled accurately and leaves the warehouse in a timely fashion and in excellent condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse staff and oversee daily activities.
- Manage, evaluate, and report on warehouse productivity.
- Daily Routing/Dispatching; handle the booking and management of pickup and delivery, ensuring efficient routes and timely transportation.
- Ensure accuracy in order processing, goods received, and dispatch.
- Maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and cleanliness.
- Resolve issues related to shipped orders.
- Implement efficient processes for receiving and dispatching goods.
- Train, guide, and evaluate warehouse employees.
- Coordinate logistical processes.
- Ensure quality control for goods.
- Prepare relevant documentation.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including stock control and timely product transport.
- Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels with accurate record-keeping.
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate logistics and collaborate with other departments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Implement operational policies and procedures.
