Job Description
We are seeking skilled Operations & Maintenance Assistants with welding expertise to join our team at our sites in Oklahoma City and Atoka. This role involves outdoor work and physical labor, focusing on welding and facilities repairs, monitoring and maintaining facilities, equipment, and systems maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations. This role also involves coordinating with contractors and performing other duties as required. It is crucial that this position helps maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor company programs, equipment, and systems daily, including temperature, electricity, water, and fiber optics.
- Welding and construction including fabrication, repairs, and modifications to equipment and structures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment and equipment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for on-call contractors, coordinating their activities and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
- Repair and perform routine maintenance on facilities and equipment onsite, reporting issues promptly to management.
- Assist in preparing work areas for projects, including setting up equipment and materials as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and meet operational goals effectively.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and stay updated on industry best practices.
Requirements:
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physical labor in an outdoor environment year-round.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; welding certification preferred.
- Proven experience in welding with proficiency in various techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding).
- Experience operating and monitoring industrial equipment and systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance, repair techniques, and tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts and occasional unregular scheduling as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work sites.
