Boutique Recruiting has teamed up with a prestigious entertainment and financial services firm in Los Angeles, CA, in search of an experienced Accounting Manager. This role involves managing and overseeing the financial records and reporting for a diverse portfolio of high-profile clients, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and optimizing financial performance through strategic planning and control. They are looking for high-quality candidates with at least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, 3 years in a managerial role, an active CPA license, and ideally, experience with hedge funds.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 / year DOE + Bonus
Accounting Manager Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

Active CPA licensure
-
5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role

Experience within the entertainment industry or with high-net-worth clients is preferred

Familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Tipalti, CCH, CaseWare, and CCH Engagement is a plus

Master s Degree and/or CMA is preferred

Hedge Fund experience is a plus
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

Manage and review the books and records for a portfolio of clients
-
Present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
-
Understand and resolve financial performance issues, risks, and process improvements
-
Monitor and report financial performance using KPIs and OKRs
-
Extensive experience in budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial modeling
-
Design, implement, and maintain strong controls, processes, and procedures
-
Manage deadlines and provide timely information to tax and commercial departments

Identify, prepare, and participate in proposals for new clients and projects
-
Assist clients in preparing for audits and liaising with auditors

Leverage technology to improve operational performance and reduce risks

Actively manage, develop, train, and mentor staff members
