Corporate Controller- Full-Time/In-office
Description
The Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role involves managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Financial Management:
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with “Cost to Complete”
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support company goals.
- Manage cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
- Manage payroll department
Accounting and Compliance:
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported in accordance with GAAP principles.
- Oversee the preparation and timely submission of financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Manage external review of financials and liaise with CPA Firm as needed.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor budget performance and provide reports to the Leadership team.
- Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual results and budgeted figures monthly.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Provide insights and recommendations to the Leadership team based on financial data.
- Evaluate financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee and manage the month-end close-out process.
- Ensure all reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments are accurately completed.
- Prepare and review month-end financial statements and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- CPA, or CMA certification.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Experience Microsoft office suit
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skill
