Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate AP Mathematics and Physics Tutor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both subjects, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to helping students succeed. The tutor will work with high school students preparing for AP exams, providing individualized instruction and support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions in AP Mathematics (Calculus AB/BC) and AP Physics (Physics 1, Physics 2, and Physics C).
- Develop customized lesson plans and practice exercises tailored to each student's needs.
- Assist students in understanding complex mathematical and physical concepts.
- Help students with homework, test preparation, and study strategies.
- Track student progress and adjust teaching methods to improve understanding and performance.
- Provide feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AP curriculum and exam requirements.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in tutoring or teaching AP Mathematics and Physics.
- In-depth knowledge of the AP Mathematics and Physics curriculum and exam formats.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, adaptability, and a passion for teaching.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their academic goals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching certification or credential in Mathematics or Physics.
- Experience with online tutoring platforms and digital teaching tools.
- Familiarity with educational software and resources.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
