Job Summary:
The company is growing strong and in need of a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. The right candidate is someone hard-working and ambitious, ideally with a mechanical & electrical background. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of machinery & mechanical equipment in our facility.
Duties:
- Maintenance of all shop equipment and facility,
- Conduct routine maintenance procedures on machinery and equipment,
- Have a strong desire to learn the daily operations of the facility with safety being the first priority,
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment,
- Measure, cut, bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements under the guidance of a licensed electrician,
- Read & interpret schematics and technical manuals,
- Apply mechanical knowledge to maintain/repair necessary components,
- Disassemble defective equipment, replace defective/worn parts, and reassemble & fabricate using hand tools,
- Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections using hand tools,
- Utilize electrical knowledge to diagnose and repair necessary systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a maintenance mechanic role
- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, logic controllers, etc.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead a team effectively
- Familiarity with supervising maintenance activities
- Ability to fabricate parts as needed for repairs
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues effectively
- Knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical components

Education/Skills/Experience
- Be able to use all types of hand and power tools,
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and hydraulic equipment,
- Have a high mechanical aptitude and be good with their hands,
- Have knowledge of lock out & tag out procedures,
- Have experience with CAT5 & CAT6 as well as coax cables,
- Ability to run electrical pipe a plus.
