JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Have your nights, weekends, holidays, and summers off!
Primary duties include reviewing and updating school healthcare and seizure plans, as well as providing training on topics such as diabetes. Duties may also include assessing the health care needs of children and barriers to education, contributing to the IEP team with responsibility for summarizing and documenting health needs, and updating and/or developing written protocol and procedures to facilitate safe, consistent nursing care.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Registered Nursing license from the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- 2-3 years of experience preferred, preferably in pediatrics or community health
- Completed a course in public health nursing, or the willingness to take one
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid or the ability to obtain it
- Agile, demonstrating a growth mindset by leveraging flexibility, resilience, and change.
- Experience with students with disabilities desired
- Knowledge of debilitating chronic conditions in pediatric clients preferred
- Highly collaborative, working with others to achieve a common goal in a way that promotes representation and participation by all.
- Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communicator who expresses ideas and information with clarity and respect aligned to an intended audience and purpose.
- Thinks critically to analyze multiple perspectives, contexts, and data to creatively question, make connections, and evaluate options leading to reasonable conclusions with on-going reflection for future improvements.
- Empathetically engages with others to understand and recognize their perspectives, experiences, and emotions.

Pay: $38.80 - $41.38 per hour
