Established in 2022, California Construction Management and Engineering (CCME), is a privately owned firm in the Central Valley specializing in Project Management and Construction Administration of Public Sector Transportation Projects. CCME’s mission is to maintain a client centered approach that is committed to meeting the individual needs of each client and project.
The Resident Engineer reports directly to the Construction Manager and will administer all project related items consistent with construction of Public Works projects. Typical duties include monitoring construction activities and confirming compliance with contract requirements; ensures work quality and adherence to specifications; prepare and process change orders; reviews contractor monthly pay applications; conducts audits to ensure compliance; prepares and maintains project records; maintains project communications and client contact.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the day-to-day construction services on transportation (bridge and roadway) projects
- Supervise project staff including but not limited to Assistant Resident Engineer, Inspectors, Office Engineer’s, and administration staff
- Be the main point of contact for clients and contractors while developing client relationships.
- Manage internal and project budgets
- Administer construction contracts including controlling quality, writing, and issuing field orders, CCOs, memos, and running weekly progress meetings.
- Work independently under broad, general supervision
- Write and issue field orders, initiate change orders, estimate cost of changes, negotiate costs with contractors, and recommend acceptance to the Project Manager
- Supervise and direct the activities of Assistant Resident Engineer, Project Representatives and Construction Inspectors, testing services and subconsultants
- Perform other duties as needed
- Must maintain PE license in good standing
- Must possess valid California driver’s license in good standing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field and four years of experience in construction of transportation projects including a minimum of two year of experience in public agency projects preferred and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties such as those listed. You must possess and maintain a valid Professional Engineering License in the state of employment.

Pay: $140,000.00 - $165,000.00 per year
