3. Coaches must be available to work in-person, typically in the homes of clients on the north side of the city of Chicago (and nearby suburbs), so reliable transportation is necessary.

The Chicago Family Tutor is an education and coaching firm that specializes in executive functioning for children, adults, and families. Since 2014, we have been working with clients to help them create more ease in their lives through the development of strong executive functioning skills. Our services are expertly tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
We are currently looking for a math and science tutor.
Note: you must be proficient and confident in your ability to teach both high school math and science.
Experience working with kids who have ADHD, ASD, anxiety, or learning disabilities is preferred.
Ideal candidates would be available to accommodate at least three clients per week or at least 5-15 hours/week. A greater capacity for clients is welcome.
Hours are flexible (afternoons, evenings, and weekends), and compensation is three times the national average.
Test prep experience with the HSAT, HSPT, and ACT/SAT is a plus!

Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized tutoring sessions to students in subjects such as Genetics, Math (including Trigonometry), Physiology, Biochemistry, and more.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Assist students in understanding complex concepts and improving their academic performance.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment for students of all ages,
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to track student progress and address any challenges.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students in various educational settings.
- Strong knowledge of High School math subjects (including Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, etc.) and science subjects (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles and age groups.
- Excellent communication skills and patience when working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $65.00 - $90.00 per hour
Expected hours: 3 – 10 per week
