SUMMARY:
Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and rebuilding production machines and equipment. Repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems. Maintain and repair facility HVAC and air compressor equipment. Responsible for the planning, execution and overall performance of the maintenance organization and maintenance process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Understands and is capable of using machine tools, machinery and equipment and their related mechanical systems.
2. Moves machines per detailed layout, levels and assists in all hook-ups.
3. Develop and deploy maintenance and facility improvement programs and projects that improve the plant and equipment performance.
4. Direct installation, maintenance activities, and repairs of machines, tools, and equipment, and utility systems.
5. Identifies current and future maintenance requirements.
6. Schedule repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.
7. Supervises all maintenance staff and directs maintenance operations by coaching, guiding and discipline as needed.
8. Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
9. Ensure efficient operation of the plant equipment and services.
10. Assist with the implementation of capital projects.
11. Design and implement PM program on equipment as required.
12. Maintain and safely store all chemicals.
13. Trains & maintains a safe working environment per OSHA standards
SKILLS REQUIRED
Ability to read, write, and communicate reasonably in English. Comprehend instructions, schematics, drawings, work orders, product information, equipment settings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, etc. Work from written or verbal instructions. Use required measuring instruments and gauging devices. This position required good communication skills, and the ability to communicate to large groups on a regular basis as well. Must have excellent leadership qualities. Must be able to use a variety of electrical and electronic test equipment and meters, oscilloscope, power tools, hand tools, machine tools, welding equipment, precision measuring tools, fork lift truck, hoists, and overhead cranes.
Lifting requirements up to 10 lbs. occasionally to 70 lbs.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have 5 years minimum experience in machine maintenance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. The ability to present information in one-on-one situations to vendors, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICS SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
