Roles and Responsibilities:
· Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
· Assist, support, and train operators in the set up and operation of a variety of machine tools such as CNC mills, lathes, and Swiss lathes.
· Program Swiss Lathes, HAAS CNC lathes and mills, Fanuc Robodrill milling machines, Brother vertical milling machines and others
· Assist, support and train operators in machine set-ups installing and adjusting chucks, tools, indicating vices, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers
· Interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T
· Use a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments
· Solve problems relative to work-holding arrangement, machine settings and tools
· Create and maintain set up sheets for mills and lathes
· Review tooling usage and set up tool life monitoring
· Use CAM software to generate tool paths and post complete programs for production
· Edit and review production programs for consistency and quality
· Maintain an organized structure to part programs within our DNC system
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in a mechanical or machining related curriculum
- 5+ years of CNC Machining and Programming experience
- 3+ years of Swiss programming experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
· Set up and operates a variety of machine tools.
· Use of basic hand tools
· Knowledge of Macro variable programing
· Strong attention to detail and good verbal/written communication skills
· Proficient Microsoft Office skills
Desired:
- Undergraduate degree in an engineering related field
- Proficiency with Esprit or other CAM software
This role is an on-site position at our location in Marlborough, MA.
The daily responsibilities of this role will require the individual to work in both office and production environments throughout the workday.
