The preventative maintenance technician is responsible for ensuring that systems and equipment are maintained, serviced, and repaired in order to prevent potential issues or breakdowns. The technician must have a strong knowledge of the systems STH specializes in, their components, and related codes and regulations.

Job Responsibilities
-
Conducts regular inspections of systems and equipment to identify any potential issues or areas of concern.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning systems, removing blockages, replacing faulty fixtures, and lubricating moving parts.

Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning components, such as pipes, valves, fittings, and fixtures.

Install new systems or equipment as required.

Document all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used, and maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules and procedures.

Identify and recommend upgrades or improvements to plumbing systems to increase systems efficiency, reduce costs, or comply with regulations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and safe working practices.
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 2 years' experience in preventative maintenance role, in a water system environment, automotive environments, electrical, etc.
- Strong knowledge of systems and their components

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as schematics and blueprints

Proficiency in using hand and power tools

Excellent problem-solving skills

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in tight spaces

Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time

Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
Preferred Qualifications

Any certifications in water systems field, plumbing, etc. preferred
