At Keesler Federal Credit Union, our mission is to "Be Extraordinary!" We are pleased to offer an internship opportunity, on the Corporate Sponsorship team, that will provide the selected candidate a hands-on learning experience in the workings of a marketing department.
As a Corporate Sponsorship Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our Corporate Sponsorship Director and contribute to the development and execution of strategic partnerships. You will gain valuable insight into the corporate sponsorship landscape, learn negotiation skills, and understand the intricacies of building mutually beneficial relationships between corporations and our organization. The selected candidate should be passionate about marketing and sponsorships and how they relate to business; be able to work well with others and quickly adapt to changes or challenges; and be willing to learn. The intern must also be able to work at least 20 hours per week with hourly compensation and must be available August through December.
Intern Responsibilities:
- Assist in researching potential corporate partners and sponsorship opportunities aligned with our organization's mission and objectives.
- Support the development of sponsorship proposals and presentations tailored to the needs and interests of prospective partners.
- Help coordinate sponsorship activation plans and ensure successful implementation of sponsorship benefits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary assets and information for sponsorship deliverables.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records and databases related to corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
- Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Sponsorship team, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and managing correspondence.
Intern Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of Smartsheet’s and SharePoint a plus.
- Prior experience or coursework related to marketing, sponsorship, or fundraising is a plus but not required.
