Shore Tompkins Actuarial Resources, LLC, a regional leader in the third-party administration of all types of employer-sponsored retirement plans, is seeking a highly motivated individual to become a valuable member of our team.
We are currently looking for an experienced defined benefit plan consultant or Enrolled Actuary for our Defined Benefit practice. Our practice primarily includes the administration of cash balance plans for small closely held businesses, as well as DB/DC combined benefit nondiscrimination testing. We are looking for an individual who has at least 5 years of industry experience providing such services.
Responsibilities include:

Performing actuarial valuations for cash balance and defined benefit plans, including both beginning of the year valuations and end of the year valuations

Perform benefit nondiscrimination testing on combined plans (401k and cash balance plans
primarily) -
Calculate 415 limits for participants
-
Determine benefits due participants upon retirement and termination
-
Calculate PBGC premiums and prepare PBGC filings
-
Preparation of annual governmental filings including Forms 5500, 8955-SSA and 5330
-
Consult with plan sponsors to assist with funding options
-
Plan design and document preparation (preferred, not required)

Assist with other functions of relating to the administration of qualified defined benefit plans.
