We are looking to add to our growing team. Currently our correctional facility is seeking a licensed RN in Tennessee to practice as the Health Services Administrator. The Williamson County Sheriff's Department is a top notch facility who is supportive and works extremely well with the medical team. The nursing staff are supported by Deputies throughout the facility.
The essential job functions are but not limited to:
The Health Services Administrator (HSA) is responsible for managing the overall operations of the contracted clinical program at the Correctional facility. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, directing, and supervising the clinical program providing services to patients in a correctional setting to meet service deliver requirements of the specific contract.
Qualifications
- Experience as a healthcare, nursing home, or mental health administrator, nurse manager, or management experience in a multi-specialty healthcare clinic
- Experience in correctional environment preferred
- Must have ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally with staff and institutional administration
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Tennessee
- RN will be able to train, supervise, and hold accountable nurses for all but not limited to the following
- HSA will be responsible for staffing and shift coverage as needed.
· Assess and report changes in patient's condition.
· Obtain patient history
· Assist with examinations and/or treatments and document correctly.
· Implement triage/sick-call procedures designed for the facility
· Administer medications in accordance with supervising physician protocols, nursing standards and correctional regulations
· Accurately document all patient information, nursing assessments and interventions
· Read and comply with new standards, correctional regulations and /or supervising/facility directives
· Actively participate in the inmate health education program
· Complete all assignments within the prescribed time frame
· Maintain a clean and orderly environment in the workplace including patient rooms
· Maintain patient confidentiality
· Demonstrate the ability to perform all required technical skills appropriately and safely
· Demonstrate understanding of the health care mission of the unit and the place of his/her assignment in the completion of the mission
· Provide assistance and shared teamwork to co-workers as needed to assure that the shared mission of the unit is optimally fulfilled
· Assist in orientation of new staff members as requested
· Actively participate in continuous quality improvement activities
· Attend ALL mandatory meetings
· Utilize appropriate/effective verbal and written communication
· Comply with attendance policy
· Perform other job-related duties as assigned
