Outside Solar Advisor- Sales

Job Description:
You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, and be able to work well independently. In this role, you will generate sales through personalized home and business solar consultations to prospective customers. This position involves frequent travel within New Hampshire.
Responsibilities:
- Meet minimum required sales targets as set by the Sales Manager
- Participate in company sales events, trade shows, and other lead generation activities to meet new prospects.
- Manage a pipeline from lead to install by performing consultations and following up with all customer prospects.
- Become an expert in renewable energy, generators and smart home products and their benefits to the consumer and maintain current knowledge of solar/generator products and industry developments.
- Closing deals and signing contracts at client homes and businesses
- Utilizing online tools and conducting preliminary site evaluations to develop an initial system design. The design is primarily used to provide the customer with a visual example of how a solar system will look on his/her home
- Become FAA certified and be an expert drone pilot ensuring that all flying is done within FAA guidelines and regulations.
- Generating project proposals/quotes for customers
- Analysis of customer’s current and projected electrical usage and financial return on investment.
- Final walkthroughs with customers after job has been completed.
- Must have a clear understanding of the sales cycle, contract agreements and be able to explain and review agreements to close customers.
- Logging all communications with customers in CRM contact database
Qualifications:
- Must have and maintain a clean and valid driving record.
- Solar Sales experience preferred with demonstrated track record.
- GED or High School Diploma required, (Applicable College degree is a plus.)
- FAA certified drone pilot license is not required, but is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, & negotiation skills
- Professional appearance
- Must be comfortable climbing ladders to access roofs/attics, as needed.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Basic computer skills required (word, excel, CRM, outlook)
- Must be self-motivated and efficient in a field work environment.
- Must be a quick study and demonstrate confidence with new information.
Background, drug screen & Motor Vehicle Record screen will be conducted.
