The Operations Human Resource Manager will be a highly engaged HR business partner for our manufacturing ready-to-drink facility in Conway, Arkansas. This position requires experience in operations management with an extremely perceptive person that is well versed in providing HR expertise. The HR Manager will partner with operations to build and maintain employee culture and function as a change agent related to any employee related initiatives. This position will manage a human resources team supporting a large manufacturing operation and reports to the Vice President of HR.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Business Support:
- Actively engage with the business/function to learn about key issues/challenges, works with business leaders on the plan of action to resolve and/or prioritize.
- Conducts employee roundtables/town halls in support of the company’s initiatives.
- Establish and maintain communication (rapport) with all operations leaders.
- May facilitate employee training programs to various levels within the organization.
- Participate in the business discussions to proactively bring forward HR solutions to help drive the business and talent agenda forward.
- Responsible for managing projects designed to add value to the operations functions.
Employee Relations:
- Be at the forefront of communicating and nurturing our desired organizational culture, vision, and values.
- Communicate information and answer benefit, payroll, and timekeeping related questions.
- Create and execute individualized career development plans, leveraging performance appraisals, skill assessments, and training opportunities to drive personal and professional growth for all team members.
- Drive talent growth and performance management through strategic business partnerships, coaching, counseling, and the implementation of performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Identify and champion recommendations for our retention strategy, ensuring our workforce remains engaged and motivated.
- Manage and develop an HR team that provides oversight for the Conway (RTD) facility.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Monitor and cultivate bench strength, identify high potential talent, oversee career pathing, and manage development initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to inspire, motivate, evaluate, and develop teams. Foster a culture that promotes employee engagement, teamwork, customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide expert employee relations advice and coaching to employees and management, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration.
- Provide guidance and assistance to employees and management regarding interpretation, compliance, and enforcement of Human Resource policies and procedures, state and federal laws including ADA, FMLA and Workers Compensation.
- Recommend policy and practice changes in support of continuous improvement.
- Perform other functions as required.
Talent Acquisition:
- Assess current and future talent needs, proactively developing strategies and plans to ensure we have a robust talent pipeline.
- Play a critical role in selecting and hiring for operations key positions, actively promoting Westrock’s operations as an employer of choice.
- Continually recommend improvements to enhance the candidate’s experience.
- Uses the company's applicant tracking system, ADP's Recruiting Management, to facilitate all talent acquisition efforts and to ensure compliance with all hiring practices, policies and OFCCP regulations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business or related field and 8+ years progressive Human Resources experience in manufacturing, or any like combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years in HR supervisory role in manufacturing.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish, preferred.
- Ability to manage projects from initiation through delivery.
- Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities, in a fast-paced manner.
- Ability to successfully lead an HR team of 7+ members in employee relations functions for a major division of an organization.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Critical thinker, active listener, and effective time manager.
- Discreet, able to manage confidential and proprietary information appropriately.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Enterprise eTime a plus.
- Excellent professional written and verbal communications skills.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
