Job Description
Reports to: Banquet Manager/ F&B Manager
Department: Banquets
Summary:
The purpose of the Banquet Captain position is to support and take lead on events, sets, and other facets of the Banquet department alongside the Banquet Manager. To train and supervise the Banquet team so that they provide superior customer service and attention to detail for every event on or off hotel property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Set schedule for proper time allotted for each set/ function.
- Insure function is set-up according to specifications of function sheet and
Banquet Department standards.
- Coordinate banquet set-ups and break-downs insuring all requested equipment and supplies are placed in the proper rooms and returned to storage after use.
- Confer with guests or contact person to confirm the functions ‘daily events are as scheduled.
- Maintain general cleanliness and maintenance in all areas of the Banquet department.
- Observe personnel and function to insure smooth and efficient operations.
- Complete all Post Event forms, cashiering items and all other necessary day-end paper work.
- Attend BEO meetings as required by manager
- A passion for service; responsible for delivering personalized, above and beyond service to Your customers
- Other duties as assigned or as needed to create Signature Moments for our guests.
Position Requisites:
- Considerable knowledge of all facets of banquet department, i.e. set-up, teardown, serving, and paper work.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize well to meet deadlines
- Behaves with integrity, honesty and is open with guests and fellow associates.
- Develops effective working relationship with fellow associates, managers, outside representatives and agencies.
- Able to demonstrate good time management and prioritization
- Food Handlers Card
- Server card (if applicable)

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
