Sales Coordinator – Northeast
Job Description:
The Sales Coordinator will work directly with the Outside Sales Team to ensure that all the administrative and support functions of the sales team are operating effectively, and that active customers are available to the Sales Coordinator when the Account Manager is unavailable. The Sales Coordinator is here to help grow existing and new business of Account Managers.
The position reports directly to the Regional Sales Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate contract balance reports monthly or as requested.
- Assist in document requests by including information needed by the Technical Document department.
- Assist with price increases or market changes via specific customer usage reports to Account Managers.
- Assist with customer complaints to alleviate time consuming tasks from Account Managers.
- Take the lead on organizing the resources necessary for Account Managers to be successful.
- Work with other departments to obtain information needed for Account Managers.
- Facilitate and assist with Product Management communication-costs, availability, recommended pricing.
- Assist with freight rate requests.
- Assist in organizing and quoting bids.
- Act as a secondary contact when Account Manager is unavailable.
- Develop relationships with key accounts both by phone and through visits.
- Create a cold calling list that helps Account Managers identify who is contacting potential business.
- Work with Account Managers and IP on dormant and slow-moving inventory.
- Manage sample requests, delivery, and follow up.
- Assist with any other areas beneficial to sales growth.
- Support commercial team in data mining to facilitate conversations on contract compliance , market demand and future business.
- Ability to support commercial team in crafting and coordinating great customer events and content; quarterly business reviews, innovation and partnership narratives.
Personal Qualifications
- Ability to adapt to change in the workplace.
- Experience in marketing research databases a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong Excel Skills a plus.
- Willing to work flexible hours.
- Effective communicator with diverse groups of people.
Education and Formal Training:
- High School Diploma or GED>
- Associate degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel formal training or equivalent experience preferred.
Additional Information:
- Travel required for customer interaction and training.
