Administrative Assistant Health Care & Fair Competition Bureau/Health Care Division Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated individual to join her Health Care Division as an Administrative Assistant. The Health Care Division enforces consumer protection laws to protect the rights of health care consumers, partners with agencies and market participants to improve the affordability and accessibility of the Commonwealth's health care system, operates a public-facing helpline, and mediates consumer complaints regarding health care payers and providers.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Administrative Assistant works directly with the Division Chief in supporting the administrative needs of the Division, including managing workflow to ensure the timely completion of projects; overseeing office procedures and protocols; tracking cases; compiling records; coordinating with health care experts; and assisting in the development, implementation, and presentation of Health Care Division (HCD) priorities. The Administrative Assistant reviews all external correspondence received by HCD for appropriate action and serves as HCD's contact for divisions across the office, including the Human Resources, General Counsel, IT, Budget, and Operations Divisions, and other Executive Bureau staff. The Administrative Assistant provides direct support to the Division Chief, including conducting research, preparing reports and correspondence, managing schedules, and responding to telephone calls and also works directly with Assistant Attorneys General, Mediators, and others. This is a fast-paced, high-profile work environment that requires the ability to work on a range of complex matters, often under time pressure.
Position Type: Full-Time/Non-Exempt - Our current hybrid model includes some remote workdays for most positions.
Salary: $52,890
