This is an entry-level position designed for individuals eager to launch their career in sales. As a Sales Development Representative your primary responsibility is to be available to handle inbound service calls. You will work collaboratively with your assigned Sales Leader partner to identify tier 3 agents who could benefit from proactive and consultative sales techniques in a Business-to-Business sales environment. Your goal is to improve the agency footprint, quote volume, and production by leveraging your sales skills and contributing to the success of the Sales Leader team. What does a Sales Development Representative do at GAINSCO?
Service Level:
- Assisting State Farm agents in navigating agency administration, or any technical issues.
- Assisting agents and team members with appointment process.
- Help agents and team members navigate and understand reports and policy transaction pages within PAS.
- When assisting agent/ team member with a quote work in collaboration with your Sales Leader to determine if SLA should handle or transfer to Sales Leader for SCC.
- Help agents and team members connect with other departments. (ex. Customer Service, Claims and Service Desk)
- When applicable, submitting and following- up on Licensing and SFDC cases via Salesforce.
Sales Strategy:
- Achieve defined daily, weekly, and monthly goals and contact requirements.
- Increase sales and productivity by holding meetings with tier 3 agencies.
- Evaluating specific GAINSCO opportunities using State Farm sales script, researching, and analyzing number of ineligible flags, non-renewals, customers with flexible needs, developing initiatives and strategic plans for agency penetration
- Create reports to illustrate sales initiatives and employ a method of disciplined follow-up and organizational skills.
- Increase agency footprint in assigned states.
What is required?
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing is preferred
Experience:
- B-to-B sales and marketing experience is preferred.
- Insurance background is a plus
- Ability to use Sales Force/CRM to document entry-level agent conversations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Other skills and abilities:
- Meeting service level agreements. (Answering calls timely, resolving inquiries on first call.)
- Actively listen to entry-level agents and quickly make decisions about how to best respond/overcome their objections.
- During the call, develop a rapport with the agency and be able to influence agents using proper phone etiquette.
- Developing proficiency in sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Eagerness to learn and promote products and services.
- Ability to establish rapport with agents and work effectively in a team environment.
- Metrics-focused mindset with a commitment to accountability for delivering results.
