Quality Engineer to support and manage the quality function for major projects.
Requirements:
- Lead ASME NQA-1 indoctrination and certification activities.

Draft / review NQA-1 required procedures.

Support specific client as primary project quality contact.

Lead technical root cause analysis / corrective action.
-
Perform periodic fabrication and assembly inspection.

Support internal audit activities (NQA-1, ISO 9001).

Develop project ITP’s and Quality Plans.
-
Facilitate NCR collection and resolution per internal and 10CFR21 requirements.

Perform supplier evaluations.
-
Develop and maintain any required metrics.
-
Interface with vendors to address nonconforming product and improve their performance.

Support Quality inspectors.

Minimal travel may be required.
Required Skills
-
Candidate should be able to read and understand electrical schematic and mechanical drawings.

Possess good presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills.

Competency with Microsoft Office is required.

Experience using RCA methodologies.
-
Understanding of NQA-1 Standard: 2008 with 2009 supplement.

Certified QMS lead auditor certification recommended.
Required Education & Experience
-
3+ years of experience working as a Quality Engineer or Specialist in a facility with a certified or compliant NQA-1 quality system.

College Associates or Bachelor's Degree required.
Physical Requirements

Working in a manufacturing environment (fabrication, assembly, and coating).

Travel to vendor/customer sites.

Climbing into and traversing through project skids.

Complying with supplier HSE requirements.

Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk.
