The Melanin Village is on a mission to increase the educational opportunities and outcomes for Black and Brown children throughout the United States by empowering and equipping their families to provide a world-class education at home. In our model we provide coaching, community, and curriculum support to parent educators while offering high-quality academic programming and a culturally affirming community to their children. - You're an Automation Maestro. You will implement automated solutions using Zapier and our internal tools to streamline repetitive tasks, increasing team efficiency.
- You're a Deadline Debbie. You get things completed on time every time. You work to remove roadblocks that get in the way of you effectively completing your tasks.
- You're an Execution Expert. No matter the task, you figure out how to get it done efficiently and on time. You love the thrill of having several and new things to get done.
- You're a Tech Savvy Problem Solver. You know how to troubleshoot technical issues and will provide solutions to ensure smooth operation of tools and systems used by the team. You like to stay informed about new technologies and tools so that can contribute to team productivity.
- You're a Documentation Master. You will organize and maintain SOPs in collaboration with teams leading the charge on an SOP. You will be comfortable with recording videos to explain processes and you will break down these videos into written SOP docs.
- You're a Get All Done Specialist. You will be comfortable taking on new challenges, researching task needs, and creating a plan to complete the task by the due date. You will ask questions and follow directions on how to complete tasks to get the job done. You will provide technical, operations, and administrative support, as needed.
A Day in the Life...As a Tech Operations Lead you will...
- Build automations in Ontraport, Justcall, and Zapier
- Identify opportunities for process automation and implement solutions.
- Understand automation tools to ensure our platforms connect with each other seamlessly. You can build, maintain, and update automations better than the best of them.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to ensure smooth operation of tools and systems used by the team.
- Stay informed about new technologies and tools that can contribute to team productivity.
- Assist in fixing our Zapier connections to ensure our multiple systems like Ontraport, ClickUp, and Mighty Networks all work together.
- Support team with general tech issues and questions.
- Train team members on tools and processes to ensure a consistent understanding and implementation.

- Our current Tech Suite includes: Google Suite, Clickup, Ontraport, Zapier, Justcall, Mighty Networks, Jotform, Airtable
- Clickup is our source of truth and reflects the status of all of our projects. We also use Clickup for data tracking such as tracking leads or field trip options.
- We are looking for an execution-focused team player who knows and loves all things automation and is ready to get into the nitty gritty details in support of our mission.

Qualifications:
- Expertise in Ontraport, ClickUp, Zapier, and Google Workspace.
- Detailed-oriented with exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Great at documentations (SOPs) and communicate your process to others.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
- Tech-savvy, quick to learn new software and tools, and adept at troubleshooting digital issues.
- In-depth knowledge of e-business operations and best practices.
Schedule & Compensation:
- This is a part-time, contract, remote position requiring 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling.
- While this is a remote position, we need someone who can reliably work EST time zone hours, with a majority of those hours being between 10am - 2pm EST.
- Pay range of $800 - $1500 per month based on experience and skills.
