Summary/ Objective:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the facilities, grounds and related equipment. This includes plumbing, lighting, compressed air, HVAC systems and others. Maintain the appearance and general condition of the plant and grounds.

Will drive continuous improvement initiatives centered around equipment and facility efficiency and reliability and as such, will help educate team members at all levels of the organization, and contractors, on the why and importance of such initiatives.

The Facilities and Engineering department will have the following equipment responsibilities. Electrical Distribution System (15kV down to 120V receptacle panels), HVAC, Supply and Exhaust systems, Air Compressors, Industrial and Sanitary Waste Pumps and piping systems, Hot water heaters, Waste Water treatment and operations, Process fluids storage, pumps, and associated piping, lighting (both internal and external), Fire suppression systems, general building maintenance (including janitorial, painting, concrete and structure), grounds maintenance (including landscaping, mowing, parking lots).
Essential Functions (but are not limited to):

Ensures safety of self and others by following all Safety Policies/Procedures and wearing all required PPE.

Interior/Exterior facilities maintenance – Maintain interior/exterior walls and doors, floors, lights, plumbing of air and water systems, compressors, boilers, wastewater system, sidewalks and parking areas, restroom water closets, sinks, water heaters, water treatment system and drains, and plant electrical systems.

Install and maintain low/high voltage systems.
- Hydraulic/pneumatic plumbing industrial equipment/systems

Boiler operation and maintenance

Building management system management

Mobile equipment operation and maintenance

Overhead crane operation and maintenance

Capital equipment installation and start up

HVAC System maintenance –Inspect and repair air conditioning and furnace units on a regular basis. Complete preventive maintenance activities on this equipment and maintain repair records.

Roof maintenance – Inspect and repair roofing per specified procedures depending on roof type. Keep records of all repairs.

Participate in regional working groups to improve reliability and sustainability of facilities systems to achieve increased environmental compliance initiatives.
- General plant appearance – Perform drywall repair, painting, floor patching and activities to maintain plant appearance and area safety.

Regular attendance is required. .

Must be flexible to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish YKTA Goals and objectives.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

2-year associate degree minimum or equivalent work experience/ training in related field

Licensed electrical certifications
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatics schematics and circuit diagrams and use measurement instruments and gauges.

Should be skilled in the use of various types of hand tools and power equipment used in carpentry or general construction.

Proficient personal computer and software skills.

Ability to pass mechanical aptitude pre-employment test if required
Environment:
-
Work is conducted in an industrial open office/ plant setting.
-
Frequent movement throughout an industrial plant environment being exposed to high noise levels and equipment normally used in stamping / welding/ Ecoat environments.
Physical Demands:
-
Prolonged periods of standing on the plant floor.

Must be able to traverse the entire facility.
-
Must be able to lift up to 33 pounds at times.
