Laukaitis Law seeks a Paralegal who will play a crucial role in our firm's mission to provide exceptional legal representation for plaintiffs in class action lawsuits. You will work closely with our experienced team to handle various responsibilities, communicating with clients, drafting pleadings, and calendaring and administrative tasks. Your primary focus will be on cases related to consumer protection, data breach, privacy, product liability, and other areas of class action law.
We're a young, growing law firm. As a Paralegal you will become part of our growing team and immediately take on substantive assignments. You should apply if you like litigation and value people's rights over big business.
Laukaitis Law is 100% remote. You can work from home, but you MUST reside in Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review complaints and other template legal documents.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff in case management.
- Engage in client communication and maintain positive relationships with clients.
- Assist in calendaring/administrative tasks as needed for the firm.
- Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
- Overseeing Bar Association compliance.
- Assist with bookkeeping.
- Maintain firm calendar.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in office administration or operations management, preferably within a law firm.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and leadership skills.
- Proficient in using office software and management tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with legal practice management software (e.g., Clio).
- Familiarity with project, case, or workflow management
- Knowledge of accounting and financial management practices (e.g., QBO).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a law firm, preferably in the area of plaintiff's civil litigation (Any plaintiff's class action experience is a major plus)
- Knowledge of U.S. civil procedure and federal rules of civil procedure.
- Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish).
