**Medical Office Assistant**
**Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our physical therapy clinic by providing exceptional administrative support and customer service. ** Must like dogs :)
**Responsibilities:**
- Utilize software to manage patient records and appointments efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.
- Assist in managing patient flow in a fast-paced setting.
- Coordinate with physical therapy staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, verifying insurance benefits and eligibility, prior authorizations, basic insurance billing and managing office correspondence.
- Utilize knowledge of to accurately document patient information.
- Provide support in physical therapy office setting.
- Familiarity with software for streamlined operations.
**Requirements:**
- Proven experience working in a medical or dental office environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office 365 (Word/Excel/Outlook) and software systems.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, particularly in a front office setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
- Previous experience working in a medical office is advantageous.
- Strong administrative skills to manage office tasks effectively.
