The Plater Helper is responsible for the following duties, other duties may be assigned:
- Racking Parts
- Masking parts prior to plating
- Packing parts after they are plated
- Operating an overhead crane
- Measuring parts
- Simple mathmatical equations
- Identification of safe handling procedures and required personal protective equipment of all chemicals per chemical specifications, operating procedures, and specific MSDS.

Physical Requirements:
Platers are required to possess physical stamina and be capable of extended periods of standing in one place, walking, repeated bending, lifting, squatting, and carrying. Specific physical demand tests have been developed by certified occupational therapists and represent critical job tasks for platers. Potential new employees and current employees must demonstrate the ability to safely and successfully pass Electro-Coatings of Iowa’s Physical Agility/Fitness for Duty Test, in pre-employment screening and at designated test intervals. All testing will be administered by trained professionals. The following list of tasks defines and explains testing requirements:
- Push/pull force exertion
- Forward bending
- Repeated and sustained material handling
- Grip strength
- Squatting
- Waist to overhead lifting
- Waist to floor lifting

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
