Position Overview:
The Aerial Operations Technician (AOT) will support the Aerial Operations Specialist (AOS) in the field, assisting with various tasks and operations related to aerial vegetation management and mapping projects. This part-time position requires a dependable individual with strong technical skills and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Support:
- ● Assist the AOS with the setup and teardown of drone equipment at job sites.
- ● Prepare and transport necessary tools and materials for field operations.
- ● Ensure all equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and stored.Operational Assistance:
- ● Aid in planning and executing flight paths for drone operations.
- ● Monitor and support drone flights to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- ● Assist in performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on drone equipmentas needed.Data Collection and Analysis:
- ● Support the AOS in collecting and analyzing data from drone operations.
- ● Assist in preparing reports and documentation related to project outcomes and compliance.Compliance and Record Keeping:
- ● Help maintain accurate and detailed records of all aerial operations, including flight logs andmaintenance reports.
- ● Stay informed about relevant legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.Safety and Risk Management:
- ● Conduct pre-flight safety checks and risk assessments in collaboration with the AOS.
- ● Follow established safety protocols to minimize risks during drone operations.Collaboration and Communication:
- ● Work closely with the AOS and other team members to coordinate schedules, tasks, andproject requirements.
- ● Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.Customer Interaction:
● Assist in educating clients about Shuterra's aerial operations services.
● Provide support during client demonstrations and presentations as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications preferred. - Basic understanding of drone operations and technology.
- Strong technical aptitude and mechanical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and adapt to changing environments. - Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites.
Work Environment:
- This position involves significant fieldwork, including travel to various sites for drone operations. - The AOT must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions, which may include varying weather conditions and terrain.
