We are currently looking for a Full Time IT Security Engineer to join our IT Security Section team located at the Information Technology working .
Summary:
The IT Security Engineer holds primary responsibility for effective placement, configuration and on-going operations of security devices and solutions within the IT environment. This position will also identify and recommend solutions to major vulnerabilities, as well as play a key role in the analysis and containment of security incidents.

- Maintain knowledge of and follow all laws, rules, regulations, policies and SOPs for assigned area, e.g. MICS, TICS, hospital standards, health codes, food sanitation, accounting principles, etc.
- Keeps current and aware of national trends as well as future needs and priorities
- Short-term/tactical collaboration and or coordination with managers and or executives within a facility or small geographic area
- Maintains confidentiality, security, and integrity of data and information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Research technological advancements to ensure that security solutions are continuously improved, supported, and aligned with industry and company standards
- Reviews, analyzes and escalates security alerts and anomalous events
- Routinely participates in IT Security incident handling and resolution
- Assist with incident response plan root cause analysis
- Provide recommendations for security and compliance practices
- Provide technical consultation, guidance, and assistant to management and business units
- Formally and informally respond to customer and regulatory requests with regards to information security services, mechanisms, and safeguards
- Integrates logs and event information from disparate sources to provide a holistic view of the IT security posture
- Provides expertise in the placement of taps, log collectors, and other methods of gathering data to identify anomalies and risk events in the IT environment
- Provides technical engineering services in support of security monitoring and Security Operations Center (SOC) functions
- Administers and maintains IT security systems and appliances including installation, all maintenance activities, and end-of-life planning and replacement

- Certified Information Systems Security Professional
