A thorough understanding of machine detail and assembly blueprints, control schematics, and job procedures. Should be proficient in the use of all hand tools and small machines used in the machine assembly process. Should also own all necessary tools (measuring devices, and small hand tools) to complete a job. Must be able to follow and give directions. Must be able to produce a very high quality of work. Ability to communicate effectively and get along with fellow employees, as well as lead the 2nd shift team. Basic math and reading skills are required.
What you will be doing:
- Ability to complete tasks according to machine blueprints, without direct supervision.
- Custom fits parts and maintains required tolerances.
- Installs conduit and complete wiring of machines.
- Lays out and completes installation of pneumatic/hydraulic components.
- Performs custom bending of conduit and steel tubing.
- Guides Assemblers II and III through assembly procedures
- Needs to be able to perform all level II and III assembly functions.
- Performs skilled fitting and assembly of machined and/or purchased components involving a wide variety of hand and machine operations, without direct supervision.
- Completes tasks according to machine assembly drawings and specifications. Uses precision instruments to layout and align work.
- Requires a high level of mechanical skill and knowledge of precision inspection techniques.
