We're seeking a skilled occupational therapist to join our team at The Pearl Nelson Center, a pediatric clinic supported by The Arc Gateway, a nonprofit organization.
As a contract occupational therapist, you'll play a pivotal role in providing essential services to infants, toddlers, and children from birth to adolescence. Our program boasts an innovative early intervention model that emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration with speech, physical, and developmental therapists, ensuring comprehensive care for each child.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Performs evaluations to determine patient’s functional level
- Develops individual treatment plans of care
- Implements individual therapy programs
- Provides recommendations for DME
- Monitors patient’s progress
- Prepares accurate written documentation in accordance with state guidelines & reimbursement standards
Service locations include the option of clinic, home and community settings.
Desired characteristics of the pediatric occupational therapist are love of working with children, patience, flexibility, ingenuity, creativity, and imagination for adapting activities to meet each child or family’s individual needs. The pediatric occupational therapist must possess strong interpersonal skills for interaction with children, family and team members from other disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from accredited university required.
- Must meet state requirements for occupational therapy licensure
- One year of experience as a pediatric occupational therapist (preferred)
- Continuing Education Units to maintain Florida license
