Overview: We are seeking a skilled Senior Desktop Technician to join our dynamic team. As a crucial member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting desktop infrastructure and ensuring seamless operations across our locations. This role requires a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where travel is a key component of the job.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.

Install, configure, and maintain desktop operating systems.

Collaborate with IT team members to implement and maintain desktop security measures, including antivirus and endpoint protection.

Manage and resolve escalated technical issues related to desktop systems and applications.

Monitor and maintain desktop performance, ensuring systems are operating efficiently.

Support and train end-users on desktop applications and systems as needed.

Coordinate with vendors for desktop hardware repairs and replacements.

Document and maintain accurate records of hardware inventory and software licenses.

Implement and enforce desktop policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards.

Travel to various company locations as needed to provide onsite support and resolve technical issues.
Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or similar role, with at least 1 year experience.

Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems.

Experience with desktop hardware components and peripherals.

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Willingness and ability to travel to different company locations as required (estimated 25% travel).

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or equivalent.

Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is advantageous.
