As a Logistics Coordinator, Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Assist in coordination of outbound shipment preparation, routing, shipment assignments and delivery follow up or problem resolution
- Coordinate 3rd party customer pickups.
- Answer phones/emails/messages in timely manners while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Ensure that customer difficulties or problems are investigated and resolved.
- Coordinate intercompany transfers.
- Responsible for shipment scheduling, tracking and customer portal activities as required.
- Ensure proper filing and archiving of all shipping and receiving documents or directing of such activities.
- Review, implement and update customer specific routing guidelines.
- Assist internal teams with customer service or operational needs as required, including shipping, replacements, processing, or troubleshooting
- Use shipping software including FedEx, UPS, USPS and Bill of Lading software.
- Complete ship confirm process for outbound shipments for assigned locations.
- Provide backup support for sending ASN’s to customers.
- Apply and contribute to the definition of the procedures and methods to control this activity.
- Ensure the Company follows current policies, rules or marketplace standards for customers.
- Manage White Glove and other specialty needs shipments from quote to invoice.
- Participate in Freight Negotiation process for all Truck related shipping methods.
- Develop professional relationships with partner carriers & brokers to ensure great service.
- Develop partner brokers and carriers to best support business needs.
- Manage all load situations that fall outside of normal.
- Handle Claims process for all freight damage.
- Support growth of business outside of USA as it relates to shipping.
- Ensure backup(s) are trained and ready to cover absences, including PTO.
- Perform other related duties as dictated by business necessity or assigned by management.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Associates Degree or equivalent.
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics is required.
- 3 years of routing experience required.
- Experience using an ERP system is preferred, NetSuite preferred.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, and customer service.
