Inspections (PTI) at their locations. We provide the assurance that proper PTI are taking place, finding issues before they cascade into more complicated problems, saving their team both time and money.

Hourly pay dependent upon experience ranges from $30.00 -$40.00.
63 Foxtrot Mobile Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, DOT/BIT/brake inspections, intermediate level troubleshooting and repair services of class 6-8 tractors, trailers, chassis, containers, and box trucks at our customers sites or yards using a mobile service truck. This position will require the ability to work outdoors, in the elements, on possibly across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends in addition to overtime; This is a full-time position.
Key Responsibilities:
● Perform intermediate level troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, tire replacements/flat repairs, brake adjustments/services/replacements, electrical diagnostics, basic structural repairs on trailer chassis, sub-frames, etc.
● Perform annual DOT Tractor & Trailer and Brake Inspections sign off. Perform repairs within expectations/skill set to bring the unit into compliance.
● Troubleshoot and repair ABS systems, wheel end components including brakes (disk and
drum), hubs, wheel seals, brake chambers and hoses/fittings, electrical components, fuel
delivery system, oil system, clutches, PTO’s.
● Provide accurate part information including part numbers, pictures, description to allow for accurate parts ordering.
● Pick up parts at our vendor locations using either company provided accounts or our clients PO system.
● Patch holes in trailer/container side panels and roofs ensuring all holes are sealed and
watertight.
● Understand and demonstrate the proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment and perform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, brackets, and more, ensuring structural integrity and a visually pleasing appearance.
● Properly document damage to company equipment.
● Accurately complete work orders and other written materials according to established
requirements.
● Operate assigned service truck in a professional manner and according to company
requirements; keep unit clean and well stocked - report any damage incurred regardless of
fault/severity.
● Follow all safety requirements while at a customer or rail yard.
● Properly attend to truck inventory.
● Troubleshoot and repair ABS system.
Qualifications:
- Required 2 plus years of diesel mechanic experience
- Required DOT and Brake Certifications
- Preferred Welding Certification, Welding experience required
Must provide your own hand tools as is customary and necessary to perform daily tasks.
Company supplied tools will be inventoried and checked for proper function twice monthly and reported to leadership for repair/replacement and must remain with the assigned truck at all times. These items could include welding equipment, testing/diagnostic equipment, air compressor/air hose(s), 1” impact/sockets and torque wrench, pneumatic jack and jack stands.
