Note: This is a temporary, contract position. We are looking for candidates who can travel for up to 30 days at a time.

Job description:
These functions include, but are not limited to:
- Monthly reconciliation efforts to report accurate and timely data
- Direct and administer all financial operations of the hotel to include, but not limited to, asset protection, financial reporting, systems management, hotel-wide budget and forecasting, department management, and meeting participation and facilitation
- Ensure compliance with all Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Serve as financial advisor to hotel management and ownership
- Monitor and approve all sales, purchases, salaries and expenses of the hotel
- Assist and counsel department heads in the interpretation and analysis of financial data, recommending courses of action to maximize hotel profitability
- Prepare annual plan, projections and budgets
- Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
- Recruit, interview and train team members
- Maintains a chart of accounts within the financial system
- Complete monthly journal entries as required
- Prepare Project analytics
- Actively participate and support the month end close
- Works directly with controller to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the financial close and process
- Quickly respond to ad hoc queries from internal customers (including Senior Management)
- Recommends process enhancements to general accounting functions to promote efficiencies, decrease closing time and allow more timely and useful data to finance and senior management
- Performs other duties as assigned and directed
Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- BA or BS in Accounting or Finance, or similar
- Hotel and Hospitality experience required
- 2-3 years of similar progressive work experience
- Flexible and available to travel 30 days at a time
