Food Manufacturing is looking for a reliable Quality Control Technician
Job Summary:
It is the responsibility of the Quality Control Technician to follow work instructions and complete all assigned tasks. It is also the responsibility of the Quality Control Technician to complete all required documentation relevant to SFC Policies and QA/QC related issues occurring during duty periods. Communication and team work are expected of this individual. The Quality Control Technician is expected to enforce company policies. Because Quality Assurance is a policy enforcement department, employees' behaviors should always exemplify "best practices." Shift work - up to 40 hours per week (depending on production needs)
Key Responsibilities: Reports to the Quality Control Team Lead Responsible for the enforcement of Food Quality Systems (HACCP, ISO 22002 TS, GMP’s, etc.) Environmental Monitoring (Swabs) Consistent monitoring of food manufacturing facility procedures Data entry of QC information – computer literacy Maintain records related to traceability (Raw materials, finished goods, packaging, etc.) Verifies equipment (scales, thermometers, etc.) Safely and efficiently collect samples for testing Performing continuous quality checks of finished goods (following USDA guidelines) in the plant throughout the shift. Reporting and documenting any quality and food safety issues to machine operator Assist in investigating customer complaints and help to resolve quality issues. Assist in training and developing team members.
Qualifications and Requirements: Basic Math Ability to comprehend USDA Grading principles Basic knowledge of Food Safety or hygiene English (reading, writing, and speaking desired) Spanish (intermediate speaking desired) Strong attention to detail Intermediate computer skills Clear understanding of OSHA Safety Requirements Must have strong ability to multi-task, stay organized and think on their feet Good project management skills. Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines Strong mechanical aptitude Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills Walking and standing up to 8 hours / shift Legally authorized to work in the United States
Conduct pre-operational inspections of production lines including Sanitation verification (ATP swabs)
Quality Control
Compensation starts at $21-$26 depending on experience. Overtime pay starts at $31.5-$37.125
