Are you a paralegal who wants to help good people do good things? The Law Firm for Non-Profits is Southern California’s premier boutique law firm working exclusively for nonprofits. We have an opening for a paralegal with no less than five years of corporate transactional experience. Paralegal certification required. Knowledge of the nonprofit sector is helpful, but not required if you are a quick study.
Primary duties include drafting corporate bylaws, resolutions, minutes, IRS exemption applications, and various filings with local, state, and federal charity regulators as well as conducting research as necessary to prepare such documents. Our paralegals work hand-in-hand with our attorneys on all matters and are often the primary point of contact with clients and regulatory agencies.
Excellent candidates will:
· be effective communicators who are comfortable interacting with a diverse range of clientele;
· take ownership of their work and have a strong attention to detail;
· possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently; and
· have a superior ability to juggle and prioritize multiple competing tasks.
Our clients are both changemakers in their communities and global leaders and we are privileged to advocate on their behalf. Our firm enjoys a positive, casual work environment that values curiosity, diversity, professional development, and collaboration.
This is a full-time, remote position. We promote a healthy work/life balance, offering a competitive salary, flexible work schedule; vacation, sick, and holiday pay; health insurance benefits; and 401k.
Interested applicants should send a résumé with a cover letter sharing why you would be a good fit for this position, and a brief writing sample to law@lfnp.com.
