Overview :
The Sr. Creative Systems and Asset Specialist (SCSAS) maintains and manages the company’s DAM database and archiving system. They manage all digital assets, including photography, design files, editorial assets and video. In addition, the SCSAS is responsible for working with internal partners to manage other creative systems, including creative software, project management software and certain internal only web sites. The SCSAS leads the creation and evolution of DAM capabilities by developing the in-house roadmap focused on streamlining operations, optimizing workflows and maintaining best practices.
Responsibilities :
- Collect, ingest, organize and archive digital assets according to established taxonomy and metadata standards.

Oversee automatic and manual application of metadata to all digital assets in the DAM system, including photos, videos, layouts and copy; establish and enforce metadata standards.

Monitor DAM system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

Work with vendor to maintain DAM performance and execute required customization.

Primary systems administrator for creative asset management and workflow software.

Evaluate systems and process challenges; develop sustainable technical solutions.

Establish and enforce best practices related to processes and workflows.

Continuously research new technological advancements and provide recommendations on how they may be used to support and improve creative operations.

Lead the roll-out of new systems or modifications to existing systems.

Test and evaluate all changes with an eye towards continuous improvement.

Partner with Sr. Director of Creative Services Ops to use information gathered by the systems to make recommendations to improve the efficency and effectiveness of the Creative organization.

Manage relationships with internal partners, IS and vendors required for all platforms.

Manage routine system tasks, including creating user accounts, setting permissions, training new users and troubleshooting.

Fullfill asset and system requests as needed.
- Attend conferences and training sessions as needed to maintain knowledge of current systems.
Qualifications :
- Experience with the systems and software used within a creative organization.

Understanding of the logistics and creative side of the business.

Understanding of metadata standards, practices, schemas, taxonomies and file formats.

Experience organizing large collections of digital content with processing & curation skills.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with the creative systems and software.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.

3+ years of experience with digital asset management and software administration.
-
Experience with DAM systems is required. Media Bank experience preferred.

Experience with Project Management software is required.
