Summary/Objective
The Special Procedures RN oversees Imaging staff, ensuring efficient and effective patient care is provided to a wide variety of patients with diverse needs and whose information may be limited. Responsible for assessment, planning and care of patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic procedures.

Places PICC lines, midlines, peripheral IVs with or without ultrasound guidance; for those patient who meet criteria. Obtains and maintains the education and competency as appropriate for the insertion and care of these lines.
Required Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
1 - 3 years related experience
Required License/Certifications
Current RN license in the state of Texas, BLS certification, ACLS certification, Competency in moderate sedation
