JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
The Line Cook prepares food to the Executive Chef’s specifications and set s up food stations for menu. The Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. To serve our guests in accordance with brand and management standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and sanitation, in a gracious and professional manner. Responsible for the daily production of high-quality food.
Essential Functions

Run check on all food products in the kitchen to assure standards are being met and communicating on inventory needs.•
Maintains good housekeeping procedures in preparation areas.•
Prepares the complete line of meal set up and establishes an adequate par for the set up.•
Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.•
Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.•
Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.•
All foods under refrigeration must be properly identified, covered and dated•
Perform any other duties as prescribed by food and beverage department management.•
Attend all training/meetings as required by management.•
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Peachtree Hospitality Management standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.•
Always comply with Peachtree Hospitality Management standards and policies to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.•
Be aware of work schedule. •
Work as a team.•
Complies with all food safety and sanitation standards and policies. •
Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.•
Check out with immediate supervisor before leaving the work area.
Competencies•
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.•
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Physical Demands•
Long early morning hours required.•
Medium work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.•
Ability to be on your feet throughout the entire shift.
Required Education and Experience •
Previous culinary school preferred.•
Previous work experience in the food industry of at least 1 year required.•
GED or high school diploma preferred but not required.
