As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking three dynamic and motivated Textile Sales Representative to join our team servicing key territories that are located west of the Mississippi River.
Since 1973, Carr Textile has been a leading provider of high-quality textiles for various industries with our head-quarters in Fenton, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri. We operate a 160,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and distribution facility in Sikeston, Missouri with the capabilities of digital printing, re-rolling, biasing, slitting, die cutting, sewing, and plastic extrusion. In addition, we have a show room in the heart of the garment industry in New York City. As our Territory Sales Representative, you will play a key role in helping us achieve our sales targets and expanding our sales reach in your assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients in the assigned territory with markets covering the Apparel, Uniforms, Headwear, Outerwear, Sportswear, Athleisure, Hiking, Outdoors, Hunting & Equestrian Gear, Bags, Accessories, Luggage, and Industrial Markets.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, cold calling, and other lead generation activities.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets, with a focus on growing share of wallet with existing customer base.
- Conduct dynamic presentations to educate and inspire clients on our products.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, product developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the internal customer service and sourcing team to provide a high level of customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop strong relationships with designers, product development, purchasing, marketing, and sales teams at target Industry companies to specify our fabrics for use.
- Attend trade shows and industry organization events such as Sourcing at Magic, TexWorld USA, Outdoor Retailer, SHOT Show, LA Textile Show, Printing United, Advanced Textiles Expo, etc. to promote Carr Textile and expand our network and sales activities.
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with clients and maintain relationships. Open territories are states west of Mississippi River including key states of California, Washington, Colorado, Missouri, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean, and Central America.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of sales experience. Experience in textile/fabric or related field is a plus.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and closing abilities.
- Build long term client relationships with superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel approx. 5 days per month.
- Spanish speaking is a plus for certain territories
